  Ordered the cottage pie from the 'specials menu' and a steak pie. When they arrived the cottage pie was merely a bowl of mince with cheese sprinkled on top. When I questioned the (albeit friendly) barman to see if we'd been given a pasta free lasagne by mistake, he said that the chef does like to put plenty of cheese on top. Apparently, in Devon they don't put potatoes on top of cottage pie! My Steak pie had meat so tough that it was impossible to chew. Would definitely not go back to this pub for food.

  Great pub food on offer at decent prices. Only one real ale available. Dog friendly in all areas...except. in the restaurant area
